assignment # 2 EMPATHY

Hello bloggers!
 As you know my class did my school's first Student of the Month presentation this year, and all the student did an amazing job ,it was a great presentation.
Miss Pollock wants us to do this assignment , I know that I'm a little bit late ,anyways, lets talk about EMPATHY.


Empathy is :
Feel what other feel and when emotionally put yourself in the place of another and understand them and accepting others for who they are .


for example:

 you see someone and his hand is hurting him you feel what is he feeling and maybe you can help him .



at the end i think empathy is an important quality in a person ...and it is important to make life better
empathize for people then you will go pretty far in life

What did you learn from Greg and Beth Ann?
I learned from Greg and Beth Ann:
- To be proud of my poems.
-Chose the title before you write any poem.
-When you write a poem sit alone in a room the you feel comfortable in .



What are you most proud of from your poem or your presentation of it?

I am proud of my ARABIC PART .


How did you feel before you performed?
I felt a little nervous and i didn't know if I was able to Continue.


How did you feel AFTER you performed?
I felt comfortable that i finished reading my poem and i felt AWESOME!


What would you change about your own poem or performance for next time?
 I would not change anything except the way that i use it was kind of boring but that what can i do !!


What did you learn/like about someone else's poem?
i liked Haneen's ,claire's, Reshad's , Melissa 's  .
 Haneen's  poem was perfect and so deep  and Melissa ,Clire too.
Reshad's poem was so funny i liked it !

Island man

Island Man (for a Caribbean island man in London who still wakes up to the sound of the sea)

Morning

an island man wakes up

to the sound of blue surf

in his head

the steady breaking and wombing

wild seabirds

and fishermen pushing out to sea

the sun surfacing defiantly

from the east

of his small emerald island

He always comes back

groggily groggily

comes back to sands

of a grey metallic soar

to a surge of wheels

to dull North Circular roar

muffling muffling

his crumpled pillow waves

island man heaves himself
another London day.

i like to wake up in a beach . because i like the sound of the beach and it's make me relaxing and it make the body relaxing too .

i wish to live in an island , because if i live there it will be more quiet than the city.

Behind My Name:shahad

Hello there, welcome back!

Before I started this assignment,I was right about my name , because Shahad is a famous name in my country.

 I think my parents chose this name for me because my mom's best friend her name was Shahad.

Actually i searched about my name but i didn't find the meaning about my name in this website behind the name  , but if i search in an Arabic website i will find my name !

Shahad means honey in Arabic .

I think my name does suit me  because i love honey . :)

If I could give myself a new name, it would be Hanan , actually i can't translate it in English that's too hard for me
